The 3-1 rule basically states that three pets of a certain rarity equals one pet of the next higher rarity, assuming they're from the same year. For example, three commons equals one uncommon, three uncommons equals one rare, etc.

I don't really see the 3-1 rule, as the 2-1 rule is more common (two pets of lower rarity for one of higher rarity)

If you're using the 3-1 rule, this is fair. However, if you use the 2-1 rule, they're overpaying.

I know trading seems difficult to understand at first, but you can get the hang of it as you keep trading :)

✿ -- this is roughly fair: the UR Aussie goes for about a non, and the ice cat goes for 1 - 1.5 nons. However, you could possibly get a little more for the cat, so it really depends what pets you are looking for!

Please don't give false advice as this is very unfair to the person with the store pet due to the fact that they're worth a late 2010 rare to an early 2011 rare, and the other person's side doesn't add up to that.

do not give false advice.
this is clearly unfair on your side, as their items are kind of new, and your side is worth an late 2010 rare. their side isn't even worth a late rare, even though they might have a rare on their side.
