Does the Pound helps you to complete your collections?
It definitely helps me a lot! I've missed a lot of uncommons and below pets throughout the years, and I'm usually able to find a WL pet somewhere in there (if I'm not too late to the party). Currently, most of my deer collection is actually either gifts or pets from the pound! However, I doubt it'll be much help once I'm only missing rares. c:

Definitely not. Even when my wishlist was bigger and I had more common pets on it, it wasn’t really that helpful for me. This was mainly my fault since I always forgot to go online when the pound was opening. It’s very fairly that I actually get there when it’s first opening,so I miss the good stuff.
It has been helpful for getting some more of my hoard pets though.

I get rares+ once and a while, but its mostly less rare collection pets and fodder.
Sometimes I'll get lucky and be able to trade with someone who adopted something I need

Oh yeah, most definitely! I got a couple older Store Pets from it, and it's helped my spider collection along quite nicely. If I didn't have any luck getting the pets I needed from it, I'm lucky enough to get some great fodder. c:

In other news, I think I'm officially calling off my Store Pet collection. The only one I'm missing is the Skelebun, and I'm sure I could make up the fodder for it, but there's so many things I would rather trade for. Just not up to trading everything I've got for a pet I don't really like. ^.^'

nooo! don't give up on your store pet collection! I'm less than halfway there and I'm not giving up yet! you'll get the skelebun. it may take a while, but I believe in you, you've gotten everyone else! <3

Yes and no, depending on my luck and the time of day. I've gotten quite a few pets out of there that I normally couldn't get with my weak trade fodder. Of course, other times I've refreshed for an hour straight and not seen a single wishlist pet. So flip a coin and you have my answer.

Speaking of getting trade fodder from the Pound--does anyone know how to disable the emotional warfare that is "A Message From Your Pet"? It makes me angry and I haven't had any luck searching the forums for advice. Possibly I'm just bad at searching, but meh.


As for my collections...my goal is one of every pet, excluding URs and Store pets because I hate stress. Also because I hate stress, I'm taking my collecting in sections. Right now I'm working on the latter six months of 2014. It's going fairly well, if a touch slower than my 2015 collection went.
I'm also specifically collecting staff pets, and am pleased to announce that I have every staff pet from '10 to '17. '09 will be harder, I know, so I've decided not to worry about them. Stress, ya know.

I've gotten a few wishlist rares and very rares for my collection and some rares that can be used as fodder towards the ones I need. I've even managed to snag a list and a couple store pets here and there so if I ever go after finishing a list and store pet collection I'll have had a little bit of help lol. When I first started collecting it also gave me a ton of uncommons that I really needed too.

I've had no progress on my 2012 collection unfortunately; it seems like I'll finish my entire 2010 collection sooner than getting the last two from 2012. Those dang very rare lions are cursed >.>

@Avianahelena you can create a new rule here to auto delete messages like with the subject "A message from your pet"

Haven't been able to make any more progress on my store pet collection. Still missing seven from 2014, and they seem to be really difficult to trade for!
