Alright, I've been trying to find a good way to share the lore I had made up for my dragon litter as a story, like I've done in the past with the cetacean and geode horse litters, but unfortunately as I said previously the story is just too complex for me to summarize in a simple, short story. So I will just share it with you as lore information.
The concept I had in mind for these dragons was basically an extension from the legend of koi turning into eastern dragons after a hundred years. This litter would be part of an ancient race of celestial dragons called Dream Weavers. They live in a divine realm along with deities of all kinds and often reunite around a large mystical lake in the heavens, where koi fish meet with them. The koi are messenger creatures who swim back and forth between the mortal and celestial realms. They come from the world of mortals bringing human emotions, ambitions and memories, and the dragons have the function of carefully weaving those into dreams. Then the koi will carry the woven dreams back to the mortal realm and spread them among humans.
When a dragon is born it's a bland grey or black color, however once it reaches a certain age as a child the parents will take it to the mystical lake so it may form a soul bond with one of the koi. That's a deep, spiritual connection that will last a lifetime, very similar to the concept of soul mates, and at that moment the dragon will develop a coloration mirroring the koi's to express their bond. From then on the dragon will be taught how to weave dreams by their parents and elders while the koi will be its loyal messenger. After a hundred years of service the koi will finally have earned its place among the heavens as the most sacred of beasts, the Eastern Dragon, and as it crosses the heavenly gates to ascend into this new form, its Dream Weaver will perish and give the koi its soul to complete the transformation.
With this tale in mind I wanted to somehow make a story with this litter where several dragons are born in the Celestial Realm and grow under their parents' teachings about being a Dream Weaver, until they finally bond with a koi of their own as the pets get to their adult stage. However while I tried to formulate this story I also came up with a conflict: one of the dragon outcomes would be a flawed dragon weaver. Instead of weaving dreams, it would only be able to weave nightmares. I never managed to develop this idea in a simple enough way to tell the story through a litter, though. It would always end up excessive and I guess my inner writer was simply too immersed all the storytelling potential of such conflict to do anything else XD. Said nightmare weaver, however, was going to be this dragon:

That's why his eyes glow red and he isn't smiling.
The other dragons' eyes glow as well, but this outcome has it the strongest to make a bigger contrast.
