Grand Exchange: A Different Take on the Trading Dilemma?

This idea is so lovely! It's a great clash of making the community interactive again and always something trading around! Having a reason to get on and be active~ I think like other markets it would be interesting to have a sort of timing system where your trade can be on market for a certain time limit (like 24 hours) before getting booted. To avoid the problem on too many in one place.

I suppose the main reason I thought this would have to be a pre-committed trade with an exact request is to avoid people putting pets into the exchange to get offers, and then not taking any of them seriously (if that makes sense).

If it went really far, some kind of supported auctioning system could be really neat, but definitely a cherry on top and I think not the most critical part of getting trading on CS moving again

I think this idea could be really cool! I will also throw in a couple more ideas/suggestions that came to mind as I was reading the topic. Just keep in mind I have no idea how the development/coding side works, so I don't know if any of these suggestions are feasible to implement; and I am a newbie player, so I lack the experience most of you must have with the site and trading here ^^'

But I think that besides having the option to choose one specific pet you want for the one you have, it would be nice to have a few "broader" options one could choose, like:
- specifying time (like "must be a year 2014 pet" or "must be within 2 years of my pet's release")
- specifying species (like "only dogs or lions" or "any species except xyz")
- specifying rarity (like "same rarity" or "one rarity above/one below")
- specifying number of pets (like "match number of pets" or "minimum of 5 pets").

All of these are information that is already associated to the pets I believe (at least on the archives), and it could be a nice way to let people who do not want a specific pet, but still have some guidelines of what they want, "curate" what kind of offers they can get. In this case, instead of an auto accept for offers that match, there is a notif to review it and approve or decline. There could also be a limit to how many declines there can be until you either accept an offer that matches or remove the trade listing, in case people just shopping for offers but not an actual trade is a worry.

And I think those could also work as filters when looking for a trade you could match, like if you have a 2012 rare dog, you could look for trades that want "rare pet", "2012 pet" and "dog species" to see if there are any you can offer your pet on.

All in all, I think it would be a pretty neat way to have an easier to see and match trade system, since looking at dozens of different threads and profiles, only to then close most of them off because you have nothing to offer can be pretty daunting eue

Yes please! It'd make trading so much easier and way more straightforward. Pokemon GTS comes to mind. (Also might be good to add an 'offer' option - basically you could see every trade that's specifically asking for pet xyz, to make matching even easier.)

please make this a suggestion - i love this idea!! there are a few pets i would only trade under specific circumstances and always a few specific pets i'm looking for so being able to search open trades would be brilliant!
