I feel like the popular pets poll that's going on right now shows that people are happy to fill out surveys. I do think thread polls are more accessible, I just have too many questions I want the answers to! Maybe we could do both? Have the survey up for everyone who wants to fill it in, but also have a thread poll for some of the bigger questions we want answered as well.
I like this idea. I definitely like the google form idea, because it allows more information to be gathered faster. Doing a bunch of individual polls would take AGES. There are a lot of things that it would be helpful to get feedback on, and every question would need to be left up for weeks in order to get enough responses for a solid sample.
The google form can give a general idea of where people stand, and then individual thread polls can narrow be used to refine answers a little more. For example, if a lot of people say they would like to see item values be listed in a range, a thread poll could help narrow down what people think that range should be.
I think both can be helpful!
