So I moved to SG a few months ago and want to share my feelings so far!

1) Milo is SOOOOOOO tasty!! Really addictive and the only bad thing is that the calories are kind of high :(
2) The sun burns so bad :’) back in China I don’t put on sunscreen because I’m tanned to a point where the sun there doesn’t make me more tanned. But over here, my already tanned skin became more tanned
3) I love the store called Daiso! They sell a variety of things for 2$ each. Favorite store here is Typo, one of their pencil cases caught my eye (and my heart) but it’s 18$ :(
4) Hainan chicken rice is one of my favorite dishes and I love how it’s everywhere here
5) Kinda frustrating how some stores only take cash/NETS but not visa
6) really struggling with communicating with those with heavy accents, because I’m used to American English and mainland Mandarin. Trying to familiarize myself with it but progress is slow :/ I feel so awkward asking people to repeat themselves and this makes it hard for me to gather up my guts to approach new people
7) Yakun kaya toast’s breakfast set is absolutely delicious!

Ayyy glad you’re enjoying yourself. I’m a local here. You can never get used to the weather, at least for me. It can be ridiculously hot.
I absolutely love milo. I always order it whenever I go to a hawker center/coffee shop/fast food chain but you always have to pay an extra $0.90 for milo in fast food chains. Oof.
Daiso is a gift from the gods tbh. I love it there too. As for typo, the thing I usually love to look at are their mugs. They have such beautiful mugs!
I personally am not a big fan of hainan chicken rice. I prefer roasted chicken rice. If you haven’t tried it yet and have time, People’s Park food center has good hainanese chicken rice and good food in general.
If you’re a foodie and don’t mind travelling, Old Airport road food center, Golden mile food center and ABC brickworks has some of the best hawker foods. You should also watch Food King on the Night Owl Cinematics YouTube channel if you wanna see more food.
Give yourself more time with the heavy accents. I think you’ll pick it up eventually. It’s alright. ^^

Been pretty bored as well. I tried to get a switch before the circuit breaker but there were so many places out of stock and when I finally found one that had stocks for a switch coming in the Friday before circuit breaker but orders got held up at custom so rip
I caved in and bought Minecraft like 2 days ago. Been on my phone and laptop for majority of the time. Got lazy to play shadow of the tomb raider but I might bounce back to it soon.

Been doing my projects and study, but other times I'm still quite bored since the stadiums and shops are closed. But its for the good of the nation. Just hope this virus ends soon.

You could always try making your own bubble tea and pearls at home!
My mom has been experimenting with new recipes. We had chicken rice for lunch and it was a bit too salty but it was so good. She’s not a great cook and honestly don’t enjoy it but she’s been trying out new things.
