You can definitely say practicar deportes. No doubt about it. ^^ That phrase was actually one of the first I learned (other than really basic stuff like how to greet and count) in my Spanish class (and my teacher is 100% bilingual ). Practico muchos deportes, ejeje. ¿Les gustan deportes?
