I'm half-Japanese, live in America, and I am learning Greek. Yes, I'm almost trilingual :)

Konichiwa! Watashiwa Airurando (Erin) desu. In case you haven't made the connection, Erin means Ireland, hence Airurando! I've also gotten into Japanese through anime and manga! I'm going to be taking it next year at my local college as an Alpha class, because my high school doesn't offer it. I don't know too much yet, but any help would be great!

Ahh ... I'm not really into the Skpe idea [ Wondering why for some reason I have trouble with it XP ... ], but I can help you online, Rukia.

I don't trust online translators, only if it's a good one X3. The Japanese comes out all wrong at times.

That would be a good idea. If possible, I would also like some help. I'm hopeless at Japanese so far, but i've only gotten into it a few months ago.....

Exactly, Japanese is like the exact opposite of English ... the vowels, the sentence structure ... almost anything -_-; ...

Well then, how about all those other Asian languages then ? They look haarrd !

If you research even further, the Chinese sentence structure is practically the same as English, so if you manage to learn the words XP, it's actually pretty easy ... Korean is ... sort of similar to Japanese than Chinese, so it fits in the 'opposite category'. Countries like Hong Kong [ Cantonese Chine ] and Taiwan [ Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese ], are closer to Chinese ... atleast I think X3.

By the way, I suggest you use a Romaji Converter, if you do not have a computer that dosen't support Japanese.

For example type in ;

Inu ga hoemashita

いぬがほえました

Not perfect, but it comes out in Hiragana and Katakana ... Kanji, I don't know XP. Too advanced.
