I have been learning Jap for about 7 months altogether (I started learning it 2 years ago and that was for about 3 months. Now I have restarted)

I took my first year of japanese when I was in my junior year of high school. The freshman/anime fans almost killed it for me.

...I have a serious question, but when are we actually going to carry out an actual conversation?
Also, to add in my opinion, most Japanese cannot read romaji, therefore it is vital that you at least learn hiragana and katakana. It is possible to type in Japanese by going into your computer's control panel to add in the Japanese keyboard option. Or you could use a romaji to kana conversion application. This site is good for learning the first two writing systems:

Good luck with your studies, everyone!

はじめました。 わたしはシャシアです。 どうぞ よろしくおねがいします。 私は一年日本語を勉強しました。 日本語を 勉強するのが好きですがちょとむずかしいですね。 大学生です。 えっと、アニメとまんががすきです。でも、アニメを あまり よく みません よ。

Like I said, I haven't studied for very long... So sorry for any improper grammar. Please don't hesitate to correct me!
Usually I can only write in short sentences since I don't know many words/verbs/grammar yet.

こんばんは ジェシさん。あなたのアバターはかわいいですよ。

すみません...。 When you type the "wa" grammar particle, you should type "ha" ( は) not "wa" ( わ ). Much like how you write it.
"私の名前 ジェシです。"

こんにちは and こんばんは sound like they use the わ hiragana, but they incorporate は because they used to be much longer greetings.
こんばんは (This night is...). I forgot the whole greeting because it's so long.

Sorry for the sudden lecture!
