New-ish-by needs advice

I have had an account for awhile now but have been very confused about.. well alot of stuff.
To start, Can you not post photos of pencil drawings in Oekaki?

Nope. You can't put anything into Oekaki. Everything there has to be drawn with that program. If you want to post photos of your art, you can in the Share your art board.

On the upper left of a forum topic is a little circle with lines on it that im assuming is text.
What does it mean when they are moving or have hearts or stars in them?

On the upper left of a forum topic is a little circle with lines on it that im assuming is text.
What does it mean when they are moving or have hearts or stars in them?

If the lines are moving it means that it's an "active" (but really more like large) topic, it needs to have more than certain number of posts. The hearts and stuff are just decorations, when you start a topic you can chose which icon you want it to have^^. If there is a little red star on it it means that you have posted in the topic before, it's to make it easier for you to track topics you're interested in^^.
