how to draw..?

Hey!

Im sorta semi new here... and i know how to use the drawing software...
But the problem is... i cant seem to get the hang of actually drawing...
So are the any tips on how to start, and get a bit better at drawing???

^^^ my posts... if you look *and they are imbarrising* you can see that im not amazin at drawing and stuff...
i want to get better!!!!! :3 >:( help meh?

Well; first of all, I know people always say this but, keep on practicing! My art used to be absolutely horrid about a year ago, and now I've advanced so much! ^^

Also, if you're using Oekaki, I suggest using smoothing. It helps smooth out your lines so they aren't shaky. When you open oekaki, there is a box where you can select brush sizes, look for a bar that says 'Smoothing'. Put smoothing up somewhere near 80-90. ^^

Also, I think you should use layers. If it's something simple, just use three or four layers.

Your first [bottom] layer would be the Background. [Make the background on this layer.]
Your second layer would be colouring. [Colour in the lines on this layer.]
Your third layer would be shading. [Shade the lines/colouring on this layer. Use black at around 20% opacity.]
Your fouth [top] layer would be the lines. [These are the actual lines of your drawing.]
