Hi everyone, I'm spookfish! New around.
I can't wait to collect loads of pets, there's so many, I've just adopted this month's lot ^.^
If anyone could let me know how best to go about starting up things that'd be great!
I'll go wander around some forums, hope I can make some friends!

Hello there and welcome to Chicken Smoothie!

Seeing as you are new to the site, I would like to offer you some helpful tips to get you started.

ADOPTING:
You might ask yourself, how can I adopt pets?
At the top of the page you will see several options. To adopt, simply click on the adopt option.
Several options should pop up:
Dogs/Wolves, Horses, Cats, Butterfly Wolves, Rodents, 2nd/3d Generation, Hatchery,Other
Each option will have a drop down menu to adopt a certain amount of pets. This will be your monthly limit. Be sure to check these pages at the start of every month to adopt the new set of monthly pets.

There is also the option to adopt pets every 3hr from the pound if it happens to be open. This is where confiscated or donated pets go. So be sure to follow the rules of the site or your pets might end up here, unless of course you have donated to the pound.

Chicken Smoothie also has a store, where you can purchase special items or pets. How can you purchase these special pets/items? You must first of all buy Chicken Dollars (C$). This option is located in your Balance.

Be sure to follow the rules of each thread as they vary between the threads. You can also always advertise in your signature.

I NEED HELP:

Depending on what you need help with, there are numerous ways to contact either a moderator or fellow players of Chicken Smoothie.

Sending in help tickets.
Located at the top of the page there should be the option, Help. Clicking this option there will be several links located on the page. If under these URL links does not have the question you are wanting to ask you can send in a help ticket to directly contact one of the moderators of the site.

I want to know what my pet is worth.
The "How much is this pet worth?" Thread will allow you to tell if your pet is worth anything good.

I want to know if a trade I got/sent is fair.
The "Is this a fair trade?" thread is a great way to link trades you have received in a post for fellow CS members to help you out. This is the easiest way to make sure that you don't get scammed out of the value of your pets rarity and demand.

How can I get more help starting on CS?
There is a thread known as Adopt a Newbie where older members of the site help try to get new mebers kick started into the game quickly.

Why, hello there!
Looks like the others already got ya covered on what places to check out. Can't see anything significant missing, except maybe a link to our help and suggestions forum - though it's easy to find if you ever need it.^^

Yes, CS has sooo many pets! That's part of what makes it great in my opinion haha. So many wonderful desings and different playstyles and goals.

Exploring the forum is a lovely way to get started, and get a feel for the community. The entertainment discussion board (Forum/viewforum.php?f=25) and the clubs and armies board (Forum/viewforum.php?f=39) are two excellent places to find members with similar interests.
