You should read the Newbie Guide&Index, it explains the basics of this site.
I’d recommend checking the Adopt a Newbie program and get an adopter, whom you can get advice from and ask questions.
The pound, General Helper Adoption Alliance and the CS Free Adoptions forum are great places to get free pets (:
If you have specific questions, please feel free to send in a help ticket. You could also make a thread in the help forum or PM a general helper
