First, I'd like to welcome you to the site. I'm sure you've read the other guides and have figured out the site a little. But this guide is to help you out on making a good post/general conversation.
So without further ado, I'll let you get started!
1.Chatspeak may be easier, but like often said, "Plz is shorter than please, No is shorter than yes."
That saying more commonly refers to when trading pets, but I believe it holds true for many things. When posting, you have to remember; The internet does not exist for chatspeak. When I first joined a roleplaying community a few years back, I thought everyone on the internet tlkd lyk ths. How wrong I was. PPl wo tlk lyk ths Or Like This Capitalizing Every Word are often frowned upon. I get headaches from trying to decipher this, and it can be annoying to get headaches, as I'm sure you know. So even though it is shorter to say Plz, tlk, lyk, or luv, only use them in the most proper situations (which you will see when they arise.) The little red lines under words will tell you if you've misspelled something, and at first, they can be your best friend.
DISCLAIMER: I am not saying everyone who joins is an illiterate fool. I just see a lot of chat speak among new members.
2.Nobody likes canned meat. Particularly SPAM.
A bit self explanatory. Spamming is when you post one word, like commenting "Cool!" on someone's Oekaki (art) or when someone says their friend broke their leg, randomly posting "Sorry." Although the thought is nice, a better post would be "Cool art! I love how the spirals blend together and how the colours match." Or just something a tad more in depth. Another form of spamming is posting twice in a row, or really often. In the top right side of your post after you submit it, there's an edit button. Use that to change your post instead of saying "Oops, I forgot to say blah." Or just posting randomness every other second. That just is plain annoying.
THIS IS A WIP. I WILL FINISH SOON. Sorry for the caps D:

3.Treat others how you want to be treated.
4.Rules are made to follow like cars are made to drive.
5.Have fun.
