Why should you be able to adopt a newbie?: I've been on this site for about a year and a half, and I know my way around very well. I've had good success in working my way up to owning valuable pets, and how to do business on this site. I consider myself fairly good at oekaki. I've run a few good adoptables shops, one example is the doggy in my siggy (click for link to shop), and I have an art shop that is doing well. I love working with people and I'd love to help out another newbie!
How often do you get on CS?: I get on every day, for around 4-5 hours unless I am on vacation, which I won't be for a long while.
Which categories would you like to apply for?: Mostly Oekaki, and pets? Is pets a thing? I will go check x]
How long do you typically spend on CS each day you get on?: 4-5 hours, like I said above ^-^
Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?: Of course!

areas that I need explained so far...what you can do with the adoptables..

With the adoptables, you can get the html code and display them in your sig or on other sites, You can dress them up, and you can trade them. In October, there is a thing called Lights on, lights off in the forums. You have to dress your character up for halloween and create a story about them going trick or treating

I like helping out newbies. I also have advanced knowledge of CS. I know most of the stuff that there is to know about the site and I could put that to use. Also, I like the feeling of knowing that people can come to me for help when they need it. c:
Which categories would you like to apply for?:
Roleplaying, BBCode, Forums, and General Knowledge are what I excel in. I could help out in other categories if you wanted me to, though.
How long do you typically spend on CS each day you get on?:
spend about an hour on CS in the morning before I go to school. Then after school, I get on right away and stay on until my bedtime. Sometimes I am on my phone on CS in the bus.
Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?:

The variety of pets/art/interests on the site. It's so much more than just adopting a virtual because you get to watch it grow, name it, and dress it up

Ways you can get to know people are mostly hanging around these forums. ^.^ That's where everybody's at!
You know the pound will be open by checking it. It opens at random times. If you get there within an hour or two of it opening, it will say something like: "The pound will open in: half a day" or "The pound will open in: ___ hours and ___ minutes."
If you check the archive, you'll see all of the pets dated since the site started. You'll find some rares there. C: To get some pets to start off with, you might want to check the "CS Free Adoptions" thread just a few categories below this one. There you can get some pets, maybe even some rare ones. Also, there is a thing known as "gift-bombing" where users may send you free pets. Once, I got a few rares. C:

Why should you be able to adopt a newbie?:
I always took a particular interest in helping around with anything I could in everything I did, and it seems that the time I am spending around on CS is going to waste when it could be spent doing something productive. My dream at the moment is to become a part of the Chicken Smoothie team and I figure I should start on this long term goal by doing a few good deeds here and there and helping out in any way I can. I am very skilled socially, I can explain things most others cant seem to find words for. I know my way around CS pretty good and I believe that knowledge has pretty much gone to waste with my sitting idly at the computer.

How often do you get on CS?:
At least once every day of the week.

Which categories would you like to apply for?:
-I know my way around the Forums pretty well, I can show all the available functions within a post, how to report/quote/edit at will.

- I can be considered skilled at BB coding I know all the opportunities of the functions provided when posting, I understand how to change the size and transparency of a picture made in oekaki, I know how to make a linked image and enable/disable smilies and signatures ^^

- I know Oekaki like the back of my hand, every single nook and cranny on that thing has failed to pass my attention. I can explain lock-alpha, how to change the types of oekaki you are using, how to flip the picture to get a better perspective of what you are drawing. I can direct a newbie around each section of the oekaki forum, and explain how to navigate through your gallery. I come with the whole package in this area of expertise.

- I could also contribute to the Trading and Pets category as well, I know how to organize pets very well, I have general knowledge on trading and also know how to set trading rules. I can explain how the groups created organize themselves and teach how to edit them, add and move pets, I know how to change the settings for trading on each group, all that good stuff.

How long do you typically spend on CS each day you get on?:
I spend at the very least 1-2 hours on CS, though I generally spend about four or five hours on CS each time I get on.
