Just wanted to add that people should chill, instead of attacking each other. I'm all for a good debate, but namecalling and all to the artists and other users should be avoided. I understand some people like the old lines, even if I'm for the change.
It is just that throwing back the same arguments from both sides gets a bit tiring.

At least, on this site you get a say in the matter. I was on another site, which -because of various problems- got closed down. No notices, no compromise, no voting. You had 2 days to save your favourite pets to your computer, and then the site was deleted. You could re-register on the original site (the deleted one was a sister site), but everything was lost. Items, in game money, pets. Everything. You had to start over from scratch.
I'm not saying this is a possibility here, but people should think before posting.

I vote no because like repainting the Mona Lisa for making her with a tee-shirt and a duckface, redrawing the pets of chicken smoothies is spitting on your, short but still, history. In 10 years, you will be happy to see the old design and says " Look like we are better now ! "
I'm proud to vote NO

Don't you think it's rather mean(not to mention childish) to compare Yul's art to 'redoing the mona lisa with a tee shirt and duckface'? It's quite the opposite actually- her designs look improved, if anything.

If we want to continue the painting analogy, murals and old paintings are often touched up because they wear with age. While Equi's horses aren't wearing or deteriorating, I think if it became clear an old painting in an art museum was a rip-off of some other painting, it would be replaced.

I mention Mona Lisa as referencing of a old art piece everybody know, not because of the quality of the piece and I don't see where it's mean. Mural are redone in the EXACT same way they was before. And yes, darker side of history are still part of history, so yes, i think we should keep it.

Look, you will not change your opinion and i will not change mine, I have better to do than debating on a website about thing that won't impact on my everyday life at all. I was just giving my opinion, that what we are asked to do here. Did you really think what you say is that important ? If the vote was a majority of no, they wasn't change the design. But now it's yes, all you will say don't make you win more.

It's just a virtual game, what the hell about all that people so angry ? Maybe getting a real life is a good thing for them. CS is a good freetime but it's all.

We really do not need to argue about Mona Lisa now, do we?

Please stay on-topic and stop jumping on others for a different opinion.

Sorren...can we just have the thread closed because of the arguing that's going on now? It's supposed to be a discussion connected to the poll...not a huge argument with people disrespecting others and so-forth.

Can I just say something? What you seem to class as "jumping on others" is the exact same level of stuff (if not less rude) than what's been let past by other mods. It would be pretty helpful if this thread had guidelines to stick to when we're debating that were upheld to the exact same extent by every mod.

Can I just remind you, Purplebones, that despite the "holes" in the art theft story, if a DMCA report is filed we could end up with little red x's instead of a shiny new lineart.
(I'm not trying to sway your vote, I'm just letting you guys know that, imo, new lineart is better than no lineart.)

Yes I am aware of that.. thank you.. (and I really appreciate you sticking to facts without adding to paranoia)

I have taken that into conseration.. and I still feel the same way. I still feel that if Tess wanted my opinion on the art theft issue, she would have asked me.

I am wondering how this will affect rarety?
Are you just reaching in and changing the art and nothing else? Or will it be more of a reissue?

A good idea might be a "turn in" thing.
Where you make the new guys but have it vollentary to have people turn in the old ones for new ones. Maybe if its preferable perhaps have a bonus? Like...
"turn in the old lineart pets for new ones and a chance to win!"

Just the images will change, rarity, age, etc will all be the same uwu
That's an interesting idea, but I think it would just cause confusion ^^;
