My question is, and sorry if this has already been asked- store pets are at the very least, always rare when rarities come out. Would adding four more rarities alter that?
I'm still against adding four more as I personally think it would cause more confusion and make trading even more complicated. I think adding one or two more would be better than adding four. It would still help sort pets out further, but it wouldn't be as confusing or complicated. Going back to my previous statement, adding four more rarities I think would deter newbies away from the site. The site alone can be overwhelming to navigate when you first join, and having an abundance of rarities could cause them to think its not worth it. Additionally, I still believe it's not the rarity system that's the problem, its the demand pushing, the overpricing of pets, and the inflation of c$, and a big one is, people using one trade of someone overpaying as "proof" that a pet is "worth" that much.
Overall, the pet and trading problem could be easily fixed by the user base if people would trade fairly and not demand push. Just earlier today I seen some very very overpriced pets, priced double than what they should be -based on years and rarities and how much I normally see them go for-, which is unfortunate. We could fix this issue by just not giving in to demand pushing, not overpaying a huge amount for a pet not worth it. We could start properly pricing our pets. I understand that some (including myself) do value pets higher than their worth, and that is okay, to an extent. Personally the pets I value more, are in locked groups so they cannot be offered on. But valuing a pet double or more than what its worth and expecting people to feel the same, isn't fair imo. If someone values the pet the same way, thats different, but I know a lot of people that cannot get pets they want, simply because they are overpiced and overvalued.
I hope I didn't sound rude at all. Just trying to share my opinion!
