Agrees-
Hence what I was saying about re-writing history
Honestly I don't give to flying rats if she 'traced lines' from a picture, or used it as motivation (I have used a picture as motivation countless times, or to get better at what im doing) some artists need to look at a picture to draw a picture, I get that. Ive done it to get the anatomy/pose right. Especially if Im struggling, do it enough and it seems to become easier to freestyle lines. But honestly, who hasn't looked at a picture and decided to draw it? No matter what position you put the animal in someone can always say 'oh that looks like this pic almost exactly' well duh theres only so many ways to position a character in any drawing. Sooner or later it will look like another.

But to completely remove someones lines just because some people were irked, thats not just punching the artist in the gut, to an artist... thats severe enough to the point where they would never touch a drawing pencil again. Its like torture for the rest of their life, all because they used a picture as a reference point. Not to mention this was a couple of years ago, at the time she may not have been as skilled and needed the reference points.

Regardless, they are a part of Chicken Smoothie history, whether it was a dark mistake or not, im sure plenty of users on here don't give two flying rats about 'he said she said' crap and care more for just what color it is, how it looks, and omg its different! (must have)

I like the variety, Every time I go through the wishlists, or search through people's pets to trade. 9 times out of 10 those will pop out at me more than the ones I see every day.

As for the owl lines.... well lets put it this way, If Malk's stuff is ever changed to 'update to the new release of what ever' I would just never come on here anymore. (sorry other artists, but malks stuff is a must have for me. Reason why? Its different and drop dead gorgeous!)

Are you even kidding me.
THEY AREN'T EVEN IN THE SAME POSITION.
The back legs are way different, the head is different, the angle is different...the only thing similar is the leg positioning of the front. And, believe it or not, horses DO MAKE THAT POSE WOWWIE.
It's very different to be similar in one part than to be similar throughout the entire image. Also, her lines don't look traced, and if you look through her gallery you will see she is perfectly capable of drawing amazing horses.

Another good reason. The artists won't stay here forever. Are we really gonna continuously redo lineart to smash history and get up to date?

Can I just say that those blogs mentioning it aren't ridiculous?
If it comes up so many time, and there is so much proof, maybe, just maybe, they're giving you reliable and true information.
They're actually trying to help inform the general public of CS, and tumblr is the only place to do it since it's not allowed here, for whatever reason.

Yes it is. =/ Just read back in this thread and you'll see plenty of posts on it, including links to various overlays of photos that people think might have been traced for the linearts. And, you know, it's directly mentioned in the first post.

It's already been stated that the tracing issue has already been resolved. That's why we don't use the lines anymore, it says so in the first post. From what I've read this topic is to decide if we should replace them so items fit and they are uniform.

No thank you, it will never look good on any lines but the ones it's on now.

This is a horrible idea. Equis designs belong on her lines not Yulnyhs. I mean no offense to our resident horse artist but the designs being transferred into her lines feels like your ripping away beloved CS memories. One of my very first pets was an Equimagine horse a pound grab from a friend as a welcome gift. I don't see how messing with the linearts is easier than fixing the items to work with all of the horses not just the new ones or old ones depending on what item your referring to.

The drafts? Fine. The unicorns? Okay.

Anything is a no go. This is a very upsetting idea, why do you feel that ripping away the gorgeous lines is a good idea? For organization? For better trade values or "demand?" People are saying the same things over and over again and even one of the ridiculous CS blogs on tumblr is mentioning the fabled forbidden subject.

Please don't rip away beloved CS memories it's not fair on those who don't want the change. can;t we have a choice on whether or not we have the horses changed? Instead of the poll deciding on the outcome. I do not want my old horses changed just because we have a newer artist whose lineart I don't love anywhere near as much.

What about us who don't like the lines? So one of my first adopts was the grey dapple pony and I love her, but I am for this because hey, even if there is a whiff of suspicion of art theft it should be dealt with. It looks bad on the site if we keep it, even if it isn't true it is the principle we need to stand by We are being asked, you should be thankful for that, they could have just done it instead of letting us have a choice. I am a firm yes on the update because even though I like the old lines I prefer the new ones and I don't want this site tainted by the controversy that has happened over the art. Equi won't be forgotten, horses aren't the only pets she made and we can still have those ones. A few people may be upset by the change if it happens, but as the poll shows, more will be happy. I guess we all need to pull on our big kid pant and deal with some pixels being changed and potentially not liking some of the new pets. You won't always like everything and life isn't always fair. That's how it goes. Be happy we have a choice on this and it wasn't just changed.

There was absolutely no need to be inconsiderate and rude about that. If they think it looks similar, then they think it looks similar. It in no way, shape, or form affects your daily day-to-day life.

If these lines aren't changed.

The issue with the equi lines that many don't know about will keep popping up causing more and more problems for CS.

If the wrong people find out it could spell the end of the CS basically.

Changing the lines protects CS.

Proof of what has happened is on Tumblr. no one can deny what has happened.
these images will also cause issues for CS if this isn't dealt with

Love the drafts! But totally mixed about the others - I agree - certain horses/ponies won't be the same changed over - but I like some of the new examples coloring - so torn there.... Maybe show us a few of the ones folks are concerned over and see what they would look like? I wouldn't mind the unicorns changing - I think they would be nice in the new lineart. But I don't like the thought of losing that part of CS history. I worked hard to collect all those horses and ponies from past years.... I would LOVE to see the drafts change - would make demand on them go way up.... And would like to see some more drafts released - been here since mid 2011 and haven't seen a single new draft released - hopefully this would inspire some to be?

Thanks :)
I like to trade and have 3500 pets in my trades groups. Needing mostly Rare+ now for WL, so willing to trade quantity of 2009-2018 OMGSC-UC. Please feel free to have a look. My groups are broken up into names - willing to offer lots of lower rarities to get WL or rares to afford something on my WL. And if I offer incorrectly on a "list pet" I'm sorry, I'm not that great at remembering what's what. Please just politely correct my error, I will either offer better or move on :) Will also sell pets in OMGSC-C groups for C$.

A; that's rude and kinda mean :s

B; If you really want to say the head and legs aren't in the same position, look at the first horse in the proof blog. The head and legs aren't in the same position wither. I'm not saying that the new horse lineart is stolen, but it is rather similar
