The night was young and it was filled with the scent of chilly yet sweet October air. There was a kitsune walking along the street's sidewalk amidst all the chattering animals dressed up for this year's event. Heads turned when the kitsune walked past and no one can blame them.

How can one simply not stare at the black creatures hanging onto the kitsune's shoulder and following him along the path as well?

They were the kitsune's little friends who came along with him for trick or treating. Their yellow eyes were wide with excitement and they seemed to be chattering amongst themselves and pointing out at the many colorful costumes everyone else has on.

Then, the kitsune walked up the stairs of a house, pausing slightly in front of it.

"Knock already!" one shadow creature excitedly yelled, jumping up and down while pointing at the door.

The kitsune laughed a little and raised his paw before knocking three times.

Then the little friends all shouted in unison
"Trick or treat!"

The kitsune opened the door and greeted you with a small smile on his face "Well hello there!" he said and a bunch of little, black creatures immediately gathered at his sides, bright yellow eyes staring up at you.

One lone creature wearing a mask similar to the kitsune's orange one was hauling a little wheel spinner that had the words: TRICK and TREAT.

The kitsune thanked the creature and picked up the wheel, holding it at eye level for you to see.

"Now let's see...trick or treat?"

Then he spun the wheel.

TREAT

The little friends whispered excitedly among one another and they all hurried to the back. The kitsune looked apologetic "They insist doing it themselves."

A little later, the excited chatters grew louder and louder before the creatures were in sight again only this time they were dragging something behind them that was wrapped in orange and black paper and it seemed to be...moving?

They pushed it in front of you and the kitsune chuckled a little bit

"We hope you like our treat!"
