Hmmm...I think, maybe you could work a little more on your blending and shading, and maybe study a bit on eye anatomy ^_^

I think this needs more structure... Show the feathers a bit (using different tones, smudge) and do clear lines or just work with contrasts. You should also choose more natural colors for the whole owl. More like white, cream, darkbrown or a greyish brown. If you need inspiration for the colors, I drew an owl because of that movie myself.
