High Flight. Interesting quote. I can't even tell you how many times I have screamed that quote, voice cracking as I struggled to stay strong and not break, trying hard not to cry as my cadre beat me. It is such a raw, amazing poem burned into my brain forever. At one point I even remember dreaming I was saying it.

The person who wrote that was experiencing Euphoria, where there brain had too little oxygen. He was both high in an airplane and high out of his mind when he observed the natural beauty around him.
After he wrote that poem he sent it to his mother. About three months later he was killed in combat.
