~Preface: This was inspired by a conversation me and my friends were having the other day. We were walking to our sledding party and talking about all the memories that came up as we passed our old school. One of those memories was actually many memories about our best friend who had died when we were in second grade. Her name was Kayla. Kayla had leukemia, which is a type of cancer that is most commonly in kids. On New Years Eve when we were in second grade she died in the hospital. This was all many years ago, but I feel that since that conversation brought her up I might as well make a tribute to her. So here it is, my tribute, to my best friend Kayla, who was one of the Nicest people in the world. She left me with this messages: Never give up. Be kind to everyone, even if you don't like them. Live life to it's fullest. Kayla always believed she would get better, she was always kind to others, she always lived each day to it's fullest potential. She was, and is to this day, my hero.
~The tree in a ceremonial tree that my old elementary school planted in her honor. Every year it still blooms those small pink flowers.
~The objects in the tree: Each object pertains to a certain memory form her life. I am planning to write a story on the writing board if you guys would be willing to read it. If you would, please say here, because I'm afraid no one would take the time to read a story like that.
~The objects are as follows:
-A Tiger orange marker, A purple heart shaped mirrior, A red book called "A Hen in a Fox's Den", A green care bear (Wish bear), A yellow dog, a cup of soda with a speech bubble reading Burp, a pink Barbie jeep, A purple gel pen, A letter, A sign reading welcome!, a sleeping bag.
-Each of those items has a memory behind it. They all are from the three short years I knew her.
So please, if you'd be willing to read my story, her story, say you would, that way I'll write it for the world to read.
