Just because it's very weird and I don't know why I do it, I will admit that I draw trees by imagining the blood vessels surrounding the heart. The branching pattern is similar to that of small trees and therefore it's a nice 2D reference.

Now when I look at the picture I can see the outline of the bottom half of a heart xD
That glitch effect on it looks amazing as well

wow. you are truly and amazing artist and i cant wait to see what new things you try to re engage yourself with your art. it often gets tough to make art when you are no longer satisfied by it. perhaps taking a small break from it could help you?
