I highly recommend using the smudge tool on your grass blob before doing the grass lines. It gives you a lot more colors and looks softer (for some reason). I haven't actually done qwerty's guide I've just watched her draw, (so basically I don't know if she mentions this) but the trick is the more colors the merrier, constantly using the dropper tool to get some more colors from the grass blob. Dunno if this is anything besides unwanted rambling, but that seemed to help me a lot when it came to drawing grass. (:
