*Phew* This was hard!
This is my first time shading, so I hope it turned out alright! I worked on this non-stop, other than the times that my laptop crashed, and gave that stupid Blue Screen of Death.
This whole time, I listened to one song, over and over. I'm sure you could guess, Anchors Aweigh! It's a perfect match for the picture.
This was unbelievably difficult to do! I'm just glad I got it finished. I did get a little lazy on details.
The timer is relatively correct. I did have to redraw things that got lost in crashes, and reorder/sort my layers.Plus, I spent some time glaring at my reference for a few minutes too. Still, I'm sooooo proud of this! I bet this is my best digital art yet!
So, the picture is a Nimitz Class Nuclear Aircraft Carrier, form the movie Disney Planes, he's seen for just about... five minutes all together? He's completely silent in the movie, but talks in the video game. Now, he's my favorite character. No surprises there. I adore aircraft carriers. His name is the U.S.S Dwight D. Flysenhower, kinda strange I know, but hey, he's an aircraft carrier in a movie about planes... Sometimes, he's called "Yorkie"
He looks a little angry... I wonder what happened...
Now, this picture was supposed to be a sketch, a quick sketch, but somehow it became this.... I had my father to help with the elevator, he just pointed out what he thought needed to change. It was really helpful!
I was going to draw some planes on deck, but that's a little too complicated... Still, I'm glad it worked out this way as well.
His cap was giving me no end of headaches, finally I just gave up and just let it stay a little misshaped. Maybe it go too wet or something?
He looks a little strange, a living aircraft carrier, plus his mouth is all the way on his bow, that's a little creepy looking at him the first few times, but I think I've gotten used to it...
*groans* It's just after midnight... I need some sleep, I might update my description later. Now I'm going to make a happy little voyage to bed, maybe get some sleep tonight. But with a year old "kitten" that's kind of rare. She still acts like she's four months old, and still thinks I'm her mama cat.
