The symbol writing is based on the sound writing. Sound writing is basically jumbled English. It can be done as followed:
1. Change any "ies" to "is," with the exception of proper nouns.
2. Switch the first letter in a sentence with the last letter in a sentence, with the exception of proper nouns.
3. Switch the first letter of every word with the last letter in the word, with the exception of proper nouns.
4. Convert vowels to the next one as followed: a -> e -> i -> o -> u. (Stan -> Sten)
5. Remove any doubled letters leaving only one, there are no doubled letters. (Harrie -> Harie)

[Races of Dragon]
Mirak / Morek - Miraks are a feathered dragon species that prefer the company of moors and clean hillsides. They grow to the size of a medium fir (150 feet) with a wingspan almost double that. All Mirak have a crown of feathers on their head, rarely on their tails. Mirak can only cast spells when the wind is blowing. Spells are most powerful in high wind speeds; they are able to cast their most powerful spells while around tornadoes. Spells weaken if air isn't clean.
