Ventura Highway by America

It played on the radio, and I was bored, so I drew part of it. Yes I intentionally named it Sunset Highway, otherwise I would have to add things like Alligator Lizards, no thanks I have no idea what that is. Also yay, first drawing I made that I think came out good X3

How did you do the sun set it looks really cool

I think at first it, the sky, and the landscape were separate layers. I found a bunch of orangey yellow colors that looked good through trial and error for the most pard . In a sunset, I found usually the sun is a really bright sphere emanating the color that slowly fades away; so I tried that, and it looked ok
Then i kind of just blended everything to the sides and just got lucky I guess. The yellow stays mostly where the sun is and the red-orange colors around it fade to the black sky (so like a blur tool around 20 px with low opacity)

Because I knew you would comment and I guess I have some sort of irrational fear against that XD
Im not even going to try to explain it because its always been there and I have no idea XDXD
