ah kat my beloved... crazy to believe that shes already (checks date) over 9 years old! geez, time flies, huh? its already been half a decade since i last updated the sequel to her original adventure... not that i ever finished either of those, of course! that would require a level of dedication i dont have. either way, its crazy to believe shes (and by extension myself, as she's always aged with me) [redacted] years old. i remember writing the original story and thinking i was a complete genius. either way, she and i have come a long way.
something fun i do with her for the comedy potential is that i never retcon a single thing about her story- if past me makes a dumb decision, then im just gonna have to deal with that forever. as such, her story is... a mess, tbh XD but! a few years ago i decided she would get to integrate into modern society, leaving the weird wilderness she grew up in... its been a tough process getting used to all of this, but she's... coping. i think it would make sense for her to go for bold, clashy, bright colors - a warning sign to any potential danger. as well as that, despite the incredibly hot climate she's found herself in, she exclusively wears thick and covering clothing, along with many layers. it makes her feel safer. more secure. you cant really easily unlearn all the lessons your trauma taught you just because you're out of the traumatic environment. shes also dyed her hair! and put on some weight, which isnt saying much considering how starved she used to be, but either way, its something to note. shes much heathlier in general now- less sickly and pale. still got bags under her eyes because adjusting to noise pollution is taking its toll on her, no matter how long its been.
...i could go on but its getting late and im not even very certain that anyone is reading this to begin with XD
just some more quick notes, she was seperated from all her pokemon when she was brought into society
its pretty stressful, especially since she's known some of them for many years. she's cut her hair short, mostly to help with not overheating, but also because she's never particularlly liked it long to begin with, its just that it used to be much harder to cut short without it being all choppy. she's gotten more grey in her hair since her last ref, and judging by the hair closest to her scalp, id reckon she'll be full grey soon. i also added some visible smaller scars on her face/hands- those were on her 2017 ref, but strangely i didnt add them to her 2021 one? theres 100% more that arent visible on this ref, most of the ones you see here are probably from scabs and small scrapes, but looking at some of the stuff shes been through? yeah. theres some pretty major scarring hiding under there. anyyyywayyyyyyys. tl;dr craig redesigns their 2nd oldest oc Ever yet again <3
really wish the original site id made her on wasnt wiped from the face of the internet, id love to know her actual birthday.
been thinking of making a threequel to her story, and ATTEMPTING to finish it... but i doubt my ability to XD
i didnt think anyone would actually read any of that, i was just kinda rambling to myself, but tysm! shes been through... so much trauma (lived through both of my "everything needs to be as edgy as possible" arcs), but things are looking up, even if its gonna be a long road to being okay. and yeah, i think its fun just having to work with what happens XD it helps add history!!
