know you've seen them on the news

that you view.
Wonder then if you knew,
how it can happen to you.
Wonder if you knew,
How easy it could too.
You stand, arrogant and ignorant,
A black on blue hue
looking down on the poor,
less fortunate than you.
Some excuse for your hate,
You say "He's irate" but you'd be
"irate" if you knew.
Questioned and questionable, they claim.
Give not a penny, give not a name.
They are ugly is your claim,
old and disgusting so you name.
But you have no clue.
How easily it could be you.
So the next time you see them,
Homeless and pigeons,
you better hope you make the right decision.
