Excerpt from a lost journal wrote: Afterwards, the Recordkeeper fell into a deep sleep, and would not awaken. The Grand Mage Kaia offered for him to rest in her home, for she had the strength to protect him. But so too had the Wizard Atys, one century before, whose betrayal had caused the whole mess in the first place. The Storyteller thought to take the Recordkeeper far away from the city, where he would not be disturbed, and where the shadow of the Orobos Thesis could not follow. Yet neither the Timekeepers nor the many long-lost ruins in the cold, dark places of the world could offer such. The Storyteller, then, would just have to watch over the man himself.
And so the Storyteller and the Recordkeeper, and also the little black cat, set off together, until they reached the farthest corner of the world, where the horizon stretched out across the sea, and there the Storyteller built a small house for them to live in. Many years later the Recordkeeper awoke, and they would part ways, the Recordkeeper and the cat in one direction, and the Storyteller alone in the other, and the house remained where it was. And such would come to be known as The House at the Edge of the World.
