Your little sis is scary 0_0 But you are AWESOME at drawing her! It looks extremly realistic, even when I zoom in, and that has almost never happened to me here on cs before.
Keep up the good work!

-owl-: Thank you, owl!
Plain Gray: She is kind of scary, haha! XD She's always had these really soulful eyes that look far older and wiser than her years. o.O
Thank you, Gray! I'll surely try to.
Greyrain: Sorry to scare you. >:D Thanks for stopping by, Grey. ;D

Lol, I'm sure you've heard this a billion times over but bravo!! Those eyes are so incredibly realistic.

So realistic! It looks like me when I was younger!
How strange it is to be anything at all...

You're the only proper noun I need.

I LOVE SNAKES.

You lead the way. I'll follow.
TAKE MY BONES AWAY.

[center]There was an anchor, there was a silver-sweet refrain.
You left me all alone.

Though I stand in mire, I will speak distant fire.
Though I'm laid to ground, I will walk through age and sound.

Get get get get got got got got.

Faking suicide for applause in the food courts of malls...
Did anyone hear me cry there?

I'll see you when the sun sets East.
Don't forget me.

This goes out to all to my under-done, under-tongued, long-longed frontmen.
And all us earth growths, some planted, and some pulled.

I sleep on my back, 'cause it's good for the spine, and coffin rehearsal.
God put a song on my palm that you can't read.

Tell me, are you single yet? My heart's as big as Texas.

Very nice, I can tell you enjoy working with color. :)
The shadows are very nice and you picked your palette out very well for depicting the image realistically.
When you're beginning the drawing, pay close attention to proportion and placement. Her mouth seems like it's placed too far off the the left (or her right eye is placed too far to the right), her hand is quite large in comparison to her face, and her shoulders seem a bit small even for her size.
When you start the sketch use objects to compare. For instance, take the length of her visible eye (corner to corner) and measure the height of her face with the length of the eye. How many eyes tall is the face? Also look at things in relation to one another. If you drew a line straight up from the corner of her mouth would it really hit the inner corner of her eye?
My favorite part is probably the hair. It's lovely and you picked the colors very well. The texture and shine on the right side is especially realistic and very well done.
If you really want to push the realism, use fine, wispy strokes for the hair like a young child's hair would naturally look. It's a little too stiff to be super convincing right now but that's easily fixed.
Overall keep up the good work and keep practicing, faces are one of the most interesting things to draw.

Chels: One more time doesn't hurt, it's good for my low self-esteem. XD Thank you, Chels!
Three Days Grace: Thank you! Haha, you, and about five other Chicken Smoothie-ers. XD
Documentary: Thank you so much for the constructive criticism!! I truly appreciate it.
Yep, yep, I know all about the comparison and measurements stuff. My older sister took a few art classes and passed on to me what she learned. :)
The shoulder according to my ref is pretty much spot on (my family is notorious for narrow shoulders), but you're right, what's throwing it off is the left eye (her left, our right). It actually is in the right spot according to my ref, but the problem is that I made it too BIG, which has always been a tendency of mine. If that eye were a bit smaller, pulling it in to the left a bit (our left), it would pull the whole thing together. It would make the shoulder look larger, the head look bigger, etc. You're also right that the hand is a bit too big. :)
This was my first attempt at digital hair (hair has always been my nemesis), and I realize I didn't quite hit the mark. It is a bit sharp, especially on the left side (our left) of the face. I'm gonna keep practicing, and try to get that whispy-ness you mentioned.
You pretty much pointed out everything I was insecure with about this drawing, and was hoping that no one would notice, ROFL! That's good for me, though. Thanks again for the crit' and the pointers, I'll definitely keep all this in mind when I make my next drawing. :D
~rainheart~: Thanks again! I don't have many skills to spare, but you can have some if you like. That'll be two Uncommons, please. *holds out hand*
