Re: #artstylebend a la rey

this looks really good rey!! god, the fact that you can even do lineless is enough to impress me really, and that's just before I really look at anything else. I agree with the above comments, they both look very much like You drew them; it's easy to look at and tell that "yeah, reyligion drew both of these" even though they're both different styles. I love them both. Your usual style is a lot softer and gentler with smoother edges, and your style bend is a lot more angular (but still soft!) and dramatic in a more movement related way. Like, your normal style is also really dramatic, but it's in a gentler, stiller way. I think they both work REALLY really well and you could definitely utilize them together to create really cool scenes in the future if you decide you really enjoyed style bending. as always it's great to see your art pop up in my feed

thank you so much!! honestly, it's worth a try even if it feels like a shot in the dark, haha.
i suppose just observe your general art process and draw ideas from there? :0

But, seriously, I really like the lineless style, I wish I could wrap my brain around it in order to draw it myself all the time XD

aaa thank you gar! believe me, it took me a long time to do it too - i still had to draw the outline and work from there. no idea how some people can just throw blobs of color on a canvas and make it look good haha

THANK YOU SO MUCH god it makes me so happy whenever i see your comments on my art. i definitely feel like "soft" is just one thing that i'm not gonna be able to shake off my art no matter what, but i'm honestly pretty okay with that, haha. i definitely plan on trying this style out again in the future, and try different approaches to it too, like planning out the colors along with the general pose/composition of the art! it would be a complete 180 from how i typically work on pieces, so i might learn a thing or two along the way :0c
