you don't have to keep them!
they're design is gender-neutral, so they can be anything you want! they're a chiss bounty hunter or pirate, with pieces of armour stolen form a few mandalorian/clone/stormtrooper victims, which they wear with pride, keeping it silver and shiny.
they were adverse to blaster-fighting for a long time, until eventually when they joined the bounty hunting/ pirate business, it became a necessity. they still heavily prefer their spear when it comes to combat. they've always disliked sith and since the takeover of the empire, have made a habit of accidentally dropping their spear... on some unfortunate imperial.
they've considered joining the rebellion, but are still rather uncomfortable with large crowds.
