this is their out of body form!! the core in their back gets dimmer the less time they have left
- their veins also align with the core and will get dimmer/fewer
- they were created to do this, made from ash, elm tree, and bone
- they're essentially immortal as long as they keep switching bodies
- they can only transfer from body-body through skin contact, otherwise they have to leave their body and drain their life force to get to a new one
- they basically have a self eject mode, if something fatal/highly dangerous happens to the body they're occupying they will be thrown out
- afraid of water, water burns
- not afraid to get close to someone to steal the body from them
- if someone sees them in their "true form" they'll forget
- regaining your body after they leave it is like waking up with a memory gap
- they will get dumb tattoos to mess with them
- they have a very high pain tolerance, their body is always slightly numb
