Hi I'm here to shamelessly self promote and also kind of rant?
I love my discount Killua/Lumine/Toshiro Hitsugaya/ uhhhhhh son
Yo seriously though, I've gotten so many comparisons to Lumine from the webcomic of that name, apparently he's also a white haired wolf boy, and there's a dark haired dude with green eyes too?. That's pretty much the extent of the comparisons.
Here are the characters/series in question side by side:
Lumine,
my dark haired green eyed boy, and of course my white haired boy is pictured above.
I'm not really too bothered with people pointing stuff out, but it's a little disheartening to see your series chalked up to a copy or something when you've poured your heart and soul into it.
and
It's not like

black and white

has ever been used

to create a visual metaphor
for two characters

functioning as foils for one another

....ever

it's contrast yo
yin and yang
night and day
black and white
the oldest trick in the book, sure. Am I original for using it? Not at all, but in my defense I was 12 when I first designed the characters and stuck with it because it works, and it's been shown to work again and again by shows that I have a ton of respect for.
I created the two opposing characters (spoilers) to be opposites in many ways (hair color) and the same in other ways (eye color) to show visually that they're both opposing and the same. That's all there is to it eue
**cough cough check out my comic cough link in signature as well**
P.s. if y'all are wondering how people have pointed out the similarities to characters that haven't even appeared in my comic yet, it's because I have posted sneak peek animations of them on my YT channel (le shameless self promotion #2)
istg I have so many more examples I could show, but I think y'all get the picture
