shiori calls her quirk "haemo goblin" as a pun on haemoglobin :9
- its similar to dark shadow. however instead of a sentient shadow, it is blood! she was born with a series of cuts on her body from which haemo comes out of (which always stings like lemon in a wound). it goes out of its way to protect her by turning into pieces of medieval armour. the pieces increase strength and durability for whichever portion of her body has some. for example, boots not only protect her but make her run fast and jump higher. gauntlets would make her arms stronger, etc.
- however if used over a long period of time, she will eventually get tired and pass out (from blood loss pretty much). if it were to become a full suit of armour, it could put her in critical condition. haemo chooses which portion of the body it gives armour. leaving her to improvise most of the time. while not a negative in terms of combat, it freaks people out. whenever it wants to communicate, it manifests as a red goofy looking skull with horns and speaks in a voice similar to the symbiote? actually thats a pretty good analogy for it it is similar to venom. shiori is the eddie to its venom. it either takes up her face like a helmet (when it really wants attention or is jealous) or spawns from her chest.
- shiori is rather upbeat, although sarcastic, and is generally cheerful and loving to combat haemo's inherent edginess!!!
she keeps herself covered in bandages so she doesnt freak people out too much but haemo can seep through & then she has to change her bandages and its a whole ordeal

touya is able to generate and manipulate life-force within them in a way that allows them to shape the exhaling of the effect. these shapes can include bursts, streams, spheres, even a mist of it from the mouth!! mako says its literally just what it says on the tin. touya holds a wild amount of life-force in their body, but overuse will really really hurt them bc thats their life force babe! its a very very very powerful weapon but they cant suck up the life-force from someone else the way mako can, or use it to heal. all offensive techniques here babe!
