Rant; Read at your own risk (haha seriously, its not that bad i promise)

So, I was just thinking about art whilst doodling random stuff, and I kind of realized how much the more cartoon or other non-realistic styles are considered to be drawn by non-advanced artists, or are seen as inexperienced. I don't understand how this came to be since I find art styles that aren't realistic to be just as difficult to create/ make look nice. Not to sound rude or like I'm hating, but I've seen pieces that are just as good as realistic art pieces be removed from the Intermediate Oekaki, as well as I have had this happen to me once as well. But again, I don't mean to sound rude or hateful, and I love this website and it's art program and people. Thanks!
