- I started to think about my childhood and today, and really every day of my life and I thought... Pokemon has been an enormous part of each and every one. Then, I thought that I'd make a little thing to remind me of that
Summer of 2004 - My cousin decides he doesn't really like Pokemon all that much. In doing so, his sister decides to give me her GBA, and he gives me Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon FireRed. My starter on Ruby was a bit of a funny story actually. Being pretty young at the time, I had no idea what I was doing, so I gave my mom the game so she could pick for me. She chose Torchic, I got upset because I didn't want Torchic, and then I restarted the game. Then, I chose Mudkip and he was with me through my whole adventure c: Unfortunately, I did end up deleting my original save file, as well as my very first starter, and my very first team
December, 2008 - My grandma sees that I am a pretty big Pokemon fan! I end up getting Pokemon Platinum from her, and in that same Christmas, I get Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky. My starter on Platinum was a cute little Piplup named Pip I believe! That was a pretty big year for me as it marked me really, really getting into Pokemon. I started watching Poketubers, and I quite fondly remember the first one I ever watched being PokeCinema! Unfortunately, he has quit YouTube, though his channel still exists. I recommend checking him out!
November, 2009 - You probably guessed it, it was in this month that I got Pokemon HeartGold! I also ended up getting SoulSilver not too long after because my brother wanted the PokeWalker XD I loved both games to DEATH though. I very fondly remember my Chikorita, Bailey, as I had a very tight bond with him. I actually still have him to this day!
October, 2010 - I get Pokemon White! I was incredibly hyped up when I got this. When I encountered a Lillipup for the first time, I FLIPPED. Honestly, besides one of the upcoming things, that has to be my fondest memory of all time. Encountering all of these brand new Pokemon for the first time ever, it was amazing! My starter was a Snivy, which I adequately named Snivvy, and she was one of my first Pokemon ever to level 100! I got Pokemon Black not too long after so that I could start with Oshawott, and I still have that little guy to this day as well!
October, 2012 - Pokemon White 2 of course! It was at this time that I started getting every Pokemon game at about the same time, so when I went to by Pokemon White 2 with my mom, I also got Pokemon Black 2. Sadly, these Pokemon games were just very boring in my opinion and to this day I haven't finished either >_< I actually haven't finished any of gen 4's games either, but it was because they were too difficult not too boring xD My starter in White 2 was a Tepig, and in Black 2 it was an Oshawott!
December, 2013 - And then the absolute hype lighter, Pokemon Y! I was in tears when I got this AND a 3DSXL for my birthday! The best part was, when I went into a Pokemon center to heal my starter, Chestnut the Chespin, it was the special birthday theme! The game was absolutely astonishing to look at and my god I was shaking so hard when I got the game and played it. This is, as of now, my best memory ever in a Pokemon game. I really can't describe my reaction without showing it to you. It was just me opening the box, screaming, and then actually leaping off the ground and hugging my parents whilst screaming thank you. I can't even explain how happy this memory makes me feel :') I then got Pokemon X for Christmas, which I was also very, very happy about! I chose Froakie as my starter for that game
November, 2014 - Ah yes, ORAS. I got Omega Ruby the day it was released, and, as I stated before, this was my first Pokemon game, well, a remake of it that is! Despite me only owning it for a year and a half, my biggest memories are definitely seeing that gorgeous intro, picking Mudkip as my starter again, and finding my very first shiny Pokemon! All of these things make this game ultimately one of my all time favorites, if not my favorite Pokemon game so far. The Delta Episode was also amazing! Everything about this game is quite perfect in all senses. I got Pokemon Alpha Sapphire that Christmas, and I haven't actually played it yet! I'm saving it for once Sun and Moon are out haha!
Extra Dates I Don't Remember - I did eventually get my hands on Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Yellow, but I'm not sure when ^^"
Anyhow, I am EXTREMELY excited to see what Sun and Moon can do and what other Pokemon they bring to the table, so, on that note, I do need to say one thing: Thank you, Pokemon, for basically forming my entire personality ^u^
