~A jeweled ribbon,
Wraps the sky and fills the night,
Silk could not match it.
A stage most fitting,
For the drama playing out,
The actors ready.
The star of the play,
With a strong blade on her back,
Stalks among the trees.
Our leading man rests,
Unaware of the danger,
His breathing is soft.
A slip of the door,
A piercing gaze and curse,
A slip of the sword.
And then falls his chest,
No breath or blood to fill it
And then falls the night.~

It was so fulfilling to finally finish this piece! It only took a few hours, but those hours were spread out over a couple days, and plenty of the original lines were scrapped before I came to the final product. The poem was done in a haiku style, to compliment the style and subject of the picture.
~Update~
