So for starters, I can't draw men. Nope, nope, nope, nopenopenopenope....
I started this about a year or two ago, and never finished it. Last night I decided I should see if I could finish him and actually make him look somewhat kind-of-sort-of-semi decent.
Bad as this may look, trust me when I say the old lines were much, much, much worse.
I still think his eyes need moved lower on his face, but I think I've spent enough time on this for right now.
As I worked on re-vamping this, I couldn't help but notice all the areas in which I have improved. Hands, for instance, don't give me nearly as much trouble now as they used to, and I'm beginning to attempt some very basic shading/highlights.
I also have a better knowledge of muscle structure/anatomy now than I did a year ago; instead of being shaped like an inverted pear, his hips and shoulders are now about on par, and I was actually able to sketch some decent looking muscles on him (I regret nothing ✿◕ ◡◕).
Out of the whole drawing I think all those tiny little books took me the longest. So. Many. Books.
I recently took a two day art intensive, and I decided to play around with some linear/atmospheric perspective in the background.
Anyway, I'd just like to say, I personally love Lavi. He's about 111% adorable, and, quite frankly, more than a little attractive (again, I regret nothing ✿◕ ◡◕).
Because he's a bookman, I thought it'd be a good idea to draw him in a library. So here he is. In a library.
And now I am done with my un-necessarily long-winded paragraph about this one poorly executed drawing of mine.
Have a fabulous day filled with many cream pies and lots of sunshine and hugs and stuff.
