You are going for your daily walk and are slowing to watch the nature when you spot some kind of faery hiding among the leaves of a tree, watching you. You go over to her, curious, and before you can blink she's sitting in the palm of your hand, grinning at you, and she says, "Before you ask, I'm a sprite, not a pixie. Pixies are mean. But I'm a sprite, so I won't bite you like pixies do!" She giggles, apparently finding that hilarious. "So you're a sprite, and your name is...?" You ask. "Oh, my name is Silver! My full name is Silver Coin, but I've told people to forget about the Coin part." She grins even bigger, making you wonder how far she can smile without her face splitting apart. You curl your figers around her so she doesn't lose her balance, being careful not to crush her delicate wings, and she says, "Please don't take me home with you. That's happened a few times, and I've had to pretend I was a pixie and bite them." She says in a flurry, while you laugh, "No, Silver, I'm just reinforcing your stability so you don't fall. I wouldn't take you." "Oh," she says. "Well, good. But if I did fall, I could just open my wings and glide down. I better be getting back to my nest now, I told my spriteling-sitter I would be back by dinnertime." "Oh, I can speed things up for you!" You say, carefully walking over to the tree and setting her down on a high branch. She flies up a couple branches, setting down in what you had previously thought was an abandoned bird's nest, waving to you. "Goodbye!" she calls. You wave and say goodbye back, but she has already vanished into the nest. You decide to go home and draw what happened, but you computer is broken! So you come to my house and have me draw her, and the sprite? She visits you a lot, sometimes staying for the night in an old shoebox.

oh my gosh please don't look at this, the story is sickeningly sweet and the art is disgusting. i can draw much better now, check out my gallery to see some recent drawings!
