Well, lately I've been watching a lot of Transformers: Prime and Transformers G1, and I've been wanting to draw one of the characters for a while now. I finally decided to try it! XD As you might be able to tell, this is Ratchet, the medic. He is my absolute favorite character out of all the generations (Prime, G1, Animated, Shattered Glass, etc.). I love him and I hate what they did to him in the move – killed by Starscream of all bots! I know this is untrue to some, but I like to think in my mind that Ratchet is still alive in G1. XD Same with his "bro" (in my mind XD I mean, they both have almost the same model, why not be brothers?), Ironhide.
This pic is set after Ratchet and Ironhide's supposed (once again, in my mind XD) "death". Also, I know that it probably does not rain on Cybertron, so you can think he's on Earth if you want (or some other planet with water rain). Personally, I think I did okay for a first try (on the computer, anyways). I've built up my skill on paper, and this is referenced off of a drawing in my notebook that used no pic reference (except for my mind). I might fix up the rain a bit, but I'm not sure. I did edit Ratch's optics a bit, but only to make them look cooler.
I also might be making a fanfiction story about Ratchet, Ironhide, and their buddies.
I got the title from a song I was listening to: Strong Enough to Save by Tenth Avenue North.
You fought
but you were just too weak
so you lost
all the things you tried to keep
now you're on your knees
you're on your knees
But wait,
everything can change,
in a moments time you don't have to be afraid,
cause fear is just a lie
open up your eyes
And he'll break
open the skies to save
those who cry out his name
throwing the wind and waves at bay
He's strong enough to save you
Look
now is not too late
lift up your head
let the rain fall on your face
you're not far from grace
your not too far from grace
And he'll break
open the skies to save
those who cry out his name
throwing the wind and waves at bay
He's strong enough to save you
I know the weight of this world can take you down like gravity
and I know the current of yourself can take you out,
out to sea
but hold on
hold on
And he'll break
open the skies to save
those who cry out his name
throwing the wind and waves at bay
He's strong enough to save you
Comments and critiques are welcomed! I am currently looking for help on shading and lineless art as well.
