Well, I realized that one of the stories I'm writing has a more episodic plot (many short story arcs within the main plot), so I thought it might be fun to try and turn it into a comic. Here's just a really quick sketch page of the opening scene. I wanted to try out a bunch of different styles and see if I could actually manage to draw these pages in a short amount of time. I think I spent too long on this one, but oh well.

I probably won't be posting the rest of this on CS, even if I continue it, since the actual story is a bit gory at times. I'll also need to type in any dialogue since I have absolutely horrible handwriting, so it would look odd on Oekaki without the words. This page doesn't have any text on it since this part of the story is more just an inner monologue by the main character.
Since my drawings might be a bit hard to understand, here's what is happening in each frame (read left to right, like a normal comic, not like a manga):
Tomare (the main character) is standing by a stop sign.
A random couple are arguing.
Tomare turns up the volume of the music on his phone (not meant to be an iPhone, just any generic touchscreen phone).
A sea gull sees a bagel in the road.
The sea gull drops the bagel and flies away to avoid an oncoming car.
This is just a crosswalk with a squished bagel on it.

If you actually want to read this part of the story (it's really not very interesting, pretty much just what you see here in words) feel free to PM me. The sign's partially cut off at the top, but it says "Stop" in Japanese on it (pfft, yes, this is also where I got the character's name from). The sign's just a part of the character's original design, so I tried to work it into the first scene.

That's about it, I might neaten up this drawing a bit later, but I don't want to make it too detailed. Tomare belongs to me and was designed by ChitChatCafe on dA.
