Red is meant to be a proud colour, yet it is also evil and beautiful. And death is another thing associated with red.
The colour white means innocence, that is why the arms and hands are so pale.
Black means night and darkness, also a sign of evil. Also mystery.
The apple was the original sin, with Adam and Eve in the garden of eden, so it is to represent sins because vampires have been deemed 'unholy' and not accepted by god.
So, there is innocence with a mix of death and beauty, with sin.
Cool,isn't it? Thats why ALL the covers have red, white and black!
