They took a train into the city, and then a bus to the museum. The building was stark white with an Architectural-Geometric styled roof and plain square windows on the sides. Ib didn't have too much time to look at the external design, as she and Leia hurried out of the rain. They were met with a rush of warm air as they entered. First they checked Leia's bag, then dropped off their wet coats and umbrella at the coat check. At the main desk, Ib looked around as her babysitter bought the tickets. The place was more or less the same, minus the plain wooden benches installed for visitors to sit at while admiring the art. The pitter pattering sound of rain on the windows was somewhat muted inside by the classical music that played throughout the gallery.
Leia picked up a brochure and looked down at her side to see Ib gone. " !!!" she looked around and saw her starting to walk up the stairs. " Hey Ib!" she shouted, but not too loudly because of where they were and ran over to her, "- kindly- you shouldn't wander off like that, I don't want you to get lost. Let's go through the gallery together, okay?"
Ib's mind flashed back for a moment,
" ...We'll get out of here together..."
a smile
one eye shielded by purple hair
For a long moment, she just stared up at Leia, " Ib... Ib... Hey Ib, you still listening? I said we'll go through the gallery together." There was a moment of recognition in her crimson eyes as she blinked, " Okay." She took her hand as they continued up the stairs to look at the art on the walls. Leia pointed out each one from the brochure and read the little paragraph about it. " 'The Forgotten Portrait', possibly Guertena's last work, for it is true origins are unknown and widely disputed upon. It is well known for how realistic it is painted, he man seems alive and real, but still and looks perhaps asleep. It is both beautiful and sad.' " Leia looked intot he face of the man in the painting, feeling a little sad as the looked at it. The detail was in fact remarkable. " What do you think Ib?" she asked. Ib didn't reply, she just stared at the man in the painting. Now that Leia looked at it, it was interesting how both she and him had purple hair covering the same eye. " It... it makes me sad." Ib answered in a quiet voice. Leia put her arm around her and pulled her to her close. " It makes me kinda sad too,
but then I think of what it'd be like if he woke up."
