Commission for KaikenNatsuki. Playing in the snow.

EDIT: Fixed layering error where the oekaki wouldn't load my layers. I've corrected the color of the mane and tail and added the blaze on the horse. I've added a pheasant, robins and early spring crocus and some bits and pieces of grasses poking through the snow.

This is Kaiken's lesson horse or riding horse. At first I only had the words "gray horse" to work with but Kai gave me a new reference.

Wow, this was fun and challenging to work mostly monochromatic until I did the Equi-Spirit Ball & crocus. I had to add some kind of color somewhere, lol. The Equi-Spirit Ball worked great and then I added crocus and birdies.

He's been tossed the ball by someone not in the picture and just kicked it and threw up powder snow.

It actually more like 18 to 20 hours. Left computer on a few times because I have dial-up and it just takes too long to load sometimes so I leave it on. However, yes, it's that long but look at my artwork "Buckwheat"... 40 hours. This was half that but does have over 30 layers.

I'm glad you like it. My first grey horse ever. I was definitely having an art block on him for quite awhile. I wish I'd known you like jumping, I'd have done that like Amigogirls. I never got the color in reference, sorry, oops.

If His tail is black, then I can fix that pretty easily. I love how this tail turned out though, it worked spectacularly. My best tail ever. I used 4 layers on the tail by the way.

Off to fix it up for ya, finally got deviant to show the picture.
