Formation of name:
(va-leer-ates)coming from the Latin words vulturus and Cathartes ( tearing and purifiers. ) Similar to vultures in the creation of their name and diet.
Description:
They also have no eyes, only small holes in their outer skull for nerves used for heat sensing, they glow a variety of colors when awake and stop glowing when they sleep, since they aren't using it. rather than seeing. Making them a nocturnal creature.
They have thin choppy manes and tails, they commonly come in solid natural colors with brightly colored main (reds, blues, purples) spikes are usually a similar color and webs are a see through version of the spikes.
Differences in genders and rarities:
Common males have large spikes on their back, with webs connecting them and "tooth" on skull is large and pointed.
Females have shorter "teeth" and less spikes.
Rare have no teeth and the skull is jagged and has small horns and have back with more spikes also a different tail, some may have wings .
They are only born with one senser and as they grow they develope more. usually 4. Rarely will they have more than 4.
