I hate when people badmouth animators-- especially such am amazing company as Disney, as I grew up enveloped in their work. ; O ;

And it's even worse when it's an artist saying it. Animators, out of all artists, should hold the most respect. I dunno about you guys, but I don't think I'd be able to draw like 28 frames a second for a film over an hour long and still remain sane.
Let us do the math, shall we, using 24 as an average number:

24 frames x 60 seconds = 1,440 frames per minute.
1,440 frames per minute x 90 minutes = 129,600 frames total.
(Number will probably be a little less if you factor in still frames and slower frames, but that's still going to be over 100k images.)

And we complain about not being able to finish one image, let alone over 100k consistent ones. . _ .

Seriously, though-- just did the math-- if every second was 24 frames, then that's over 120,000 pictures for a single movie.
Of course, the image will probably actually be lower due to some factors, but that is still a LOT. How do they manage it, I wonder?? xD

I absolutely love the art of hand-drawn animation, and I think it's sad to see less and less of the good 'ole 2D animations on the big screen.

I've been reading "The Illusion of Life" book recently, a book about Disney Animation and frankly, it must be one of the most fascinating things I've read. So much thought and emotion goes into those 2D drawings, Disney's in particular. It ceases to amaze me c:

I understand completly how you feel. I really want to do an animation, but am not patient enough at all, I can be too lazy. XD So I have great respect for those who CAN do that.

Ikr! I mean, they do have a lot of people working on those frames-its not just one person- but STILL! I was like going crazy after making a running WME GIF XD
