Re: Take the X- out of Christmas

Postby Distant_Hybrid » Wed Dec 21, 2011 5:29 pm

I don't disagree; as it gets on my nerves sometimes, but there are 2 reasons:\

1) 'X' is like a cross, as they say Jesus died from it.

2) Like I said, 'X' is like a cross, and Crossmas sounds like Christmas.

I just thought you may like to know :)
I've decided to quit CS :c It was a hard choice, but I really need to. I haven't been on in forever... And yeah. Bye everyone. Thank you SO much for giving me an amazing time. To contact me, please PM my brother, Gravity Falls.

Not to offend anyone, but you should really look at the history of this holiday. Yule is its proper name and it was first called that. IT started off as a Pagan holiday. Back in that time Christanity was first starting and the leaders of said religion were not happy that more people celebrated Yule. So they decided to invent Christmas and claimed that it was Jesus's birth (Which it is not) to convince people to celebrate Christanity. Which worked. And Equid Phantasm, while I, as a non Christian, am not offended by this, be careful of your wording because you might offend some.

This is NOT A DEBATE THREAD. Equid stated that in her description.
Therefore...
I love the expression on the horse's face-the only anatomical crit i have-and it is a cartoon, I know-is that when horses lie their ears flat back, you aren't going to see the inside of their ear, just the sides :)

Yes. I horseback ride. No, I don't just sit there. Thanks.

Thank you for the constructive crit, I don't own a horse (although I'd love to) and it's been probably 20 years since I've seen one from anywhere but the outside of an arena or fenced area... or over 20 feet away, never angry. I tried to find a close reference of an angry horse but kept getting distance shots of horses fighting so I just did it from memory and what my cat's ears looked like, I will fix it.

I really like it! Though, um, the horse has extremely puffy cheeks... Merry Christmas to you too!

Great picture! I love the horse and its expression! You are so right. It annoys me sometimes when people say X-mas. After all, it is Jesus' birthday! Merry CHRISTmas!
