Pressure sensitivity allows your digital artwork to function more naturally, like it may on actual paper.
If you press down harder, your line becomes thicker and darker. Lighter, then thinner and lighter.
that sounds really epic. i need that. but first i need a tablet... any recomendations? *suspicious glance to the side*
Oh, it definitely is! >: 3
Personally, I've only ever owned two tablets, and ever used three, so my knowledge on various brands is very slim.
The first tablet I ever had was ANCIENT, and didn't even have pressure sensitivity. I really don't even know what brand it was, it was just old generic crap. I used that for years before I got a new one with pressure sensitivity-- I was both amazed and confused by it at first. xDD
And the one that I have now is a Wacom Bamboo Fun small tablet. He's getting a little old now, there's tape on his cord, and recently he's been acting up and turning off, BUT-- he's worked VERY well for a long time, and I draw nearly 24/7, so with the amount of use I've put into him, he's been an EXCELLENT tablet, that has handled very well.
If I didn't draw and handle my tablet as much as I do, he'd probably last more than ten more years.
